How to Run AutoGLM Phone Automation Safely in a Test Lab
AutoGLM will tap real buttons on a real phone. If you plan to run it at volume, you need isolation, logging, and a kill switch.…
Zhipu AI's phone-and-web agent that taps through apps for you, from food delivery to flight booking.
AutoGLM is Zhipu AI’s GUI agent: instead of calling APIs, it looks at a phone or browser screen and taps, types and scrolls to finish tasks like ordering takeout or booking a train ticket.
AutoGLM is a “computer use” style agent, similar in concept to Anthropic’s computer use or OpenAI’s Operator, but tuned for Chinese mobile apps. It runs on Android and in a browser extension, reads the screen, decides the next tap, and executes it. Zhipu also ships a cloud-phone mode so the agent runs on a hosted device, not yours.
There is a free trial with daily task limits; sustained use requires a paid plan, and cloud-phone minutes are metered. Big caveat: to act for you it needs screen access and sometimes login state, so privacy and account security are real concerns.
It is a fit for people who want to automate Chinese mobile workflows without coding, and for teams testing computer-use agents. It is a bad fit for anyone handling sensitive accounts, or for non-Chinese app ecosystems where coverage is thin.
