Suno v5 generates full songs with vocals and stems in under a minute, and the paid plans now include commercial rights.
Suno v5 is the current generation of Suno’s AI music model. It writes complete songs — vocals, instruments, mix — from a text prompt in roughly 30 to 60 seconds, and it exports individual stems on paid plans. It’s available at suno.com and through an API.
Suno is a Cambridge, Massachusetts company that builds text-to-music models. v5 replaced v4.5 in 2025 and improved two things people complained about most: vocal clarity and song structure. Tracks now follow verse-chorus-bridge patterns instead of drifting for two minutes.
It is not a DAW. You don’t edit waveforms or place notes. You prompt, generate, pick a take, then optionally extend or remix it.
The free plan gives 50 credits a day, about 10 songs, with no commercial rights. Pro is $10/month for 2,500 credits and commercial use. Premier is $30/month for 10,000 credits. Credits don’t roll over, so cancel and restart if you work in bursts.
