World Labs Marble Freemium
Generates editable 3D worlds from a prompt, and they open right in a browser
Marble is a 3D world generator from World Labs, the lab co-founded by Fei-Fei Li. You type a prompt or upload a photo, and it produces an explorable 3D scene you can walk through in a browser, then export as a Gaussian splat, mesh or video. Free tier available, with paid plans for higher resolution and exports.
What makes Marble different from an image generator?
Persistence. A diffusion model draws a picture; Marble builds a volume with geometry, so when you move the camera the scene stays consistent. That property is what people mean by world models.
World Labs launched Marble in late 2025. It runs entirely in the browser, and scenes support collider-ready geometry so they can be dropped into a game engine or a headset. Export formats include Gaussian splats and 3D meshes.
Product Features
- Text to world — describe a room, street or landscape and get a navigable scene.
- Image to world — lift a painting or photo into 3D with plausible depth.
- In-browser editing — crop, extend and blend areas without re-generating from scratch.
- Scene composition that stitches several generated chunks into one larger map.
- Export to Gaussian splat, mesh and video for use in Blender, Unity or a headset.
- Shareable links anyone can open without installing anything.
Product Highlights
The browser demo is the moment people convert. Walking through a generated space with a WASD-and-mouse control scheme is closer to a game than to a chatbot. For level designers and set dressers, generating three background environments in an afternoon changes the blocking stage.
Now the caveats. Generated worlds have soft edges — fine text, reflections and precise architecture fall apart under scrutiny. Scale can drift, so a room might feel 30% too large. Watermarking applies on free exports, and heavy scenes get capped on lower tiers.
It is also not a replacement for a DCC tool. You will still clean up meshes in Blender. Treat Marble as a concept generator, not a final-asset factory.
Use Cases
- Previsualizing a film set before committing to a build.
- Prototyping game levels and testing sightlines.
- Architecture mood boards clients can walk through.
- VR experiments where you need cheap environment variety.
- Turning concept art into explorable assets for a pitch.
Quick Summary
- Marble is World Labs’ 3D world model — it builds persistent scenes, not flat images.
- It generates from text or a single image and runs in the browser.
- Exports include Gaussian splats, meshes and video, with watermarks on free tiers.
- Best for previsualization and prototyping; final cleanup still happens in a DCC tool.
- Expect scale and fine-detail limitations on generated geometry.
