Step 1: Upload Your Podcast Episode

Log in to Castmagic and click “New Upload.” You can either upload an audio file directly (MP3, WAV, M4A) or connect your podcast RSS feed for automatic processing. If you connect your RSS feed, Castmagic will automatically detect and process new episodes as they’re published — no manual upload needed for ongoing shows.

For your first episode, upload a file manually to see the full process. Standard processing takes 5–10 minutes for a 45-minute episode, depending on audio quality and length.

Step 2: Configure Your Content Templates

Before processing, set up your content templates. This is where Castmagic’s power really shines. Navigate to “Templates” and define the content types you want generated. Common templates include:

• Show Notes: Episode summary, key topics, timestamps, and guest bio
• Blog Post: A 800–1200 word article based on the episode’s main themes
• Social Media Series: 3–5 tweets or LinkedIn posts highlighting key takeaways
• Newsletter Segment: A concise summary for your email subscribers
• Quote Graphics: Key quotes formatted for visual social media posts

For each template, specify the tone (professional, casual, conversational), length, and any specific formatting requirements. Castmagic will use these templates for every episode going forward.

Step 3: Review and Refine Generated Content

Once processing is complete, Castmagic presents all generated content in a clean dashboard. Review each piece:

• Transcription: Check accuracy, especially for names and technical terms
• Show Notes: Verify timestamps and topic summaries
• Blog Post: Read through for flow and accuracy — minor edits are usually needed
• Social Posts: Select the best ones and customize for your audience

Use the Magic Chat feature to refine content. Ask questions like “Find the most quotable moment about productivity” or “Rewrite the blog post introduction to be more engaging.” This interactive editing saves significant time compared to writing from scratch.

Step 4: Extract Key Quotes and Highlights

Use Castmagic’s quote extraction feature to identify the most shareable moments from your episode. The AI automatically identifies impactful statements, surprising insights, and actionable advice — the content most likely to perform well on social media.

Review the suggested quotes, select the best ones, and use Castmagic’s built-in design tools to create quote graphics. You can customize colors, fonts, and layouts to match your brand, then download images ready for Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn.

Step 5: Publish Across Channels

Once you’ve reviewed and approved your content, use Castmagic’s export options to publish. Copy show notes directly to your podcast hosting platform, export the blog post to your CMS, schedule social media posts, and copy the newsletter segment to your email platform. For teams, the collaboration workspace lets multiple people review and approve content before it goes live.
