Step 1: Describe Your Business

Visit durable.co and click “Generate Your Website.” You’ll be asked to provide three pieces of information:

1. Business Type: What industry are you in? (e.g., “Plumbing,” “Yoga Studio,” “Marketing Consultant”)
2. Business Name: The name that will appear on your website
3. Location: Your city or service area — this helps Durable generate location-specific copy and optimize for local SEO

For this example, let’s use “Sunrise Yoga Studio” in “Austin, Texas.” Click “Generate Website” and wait about 30 seconds.

Step 2: Review Your Generated Website

Durable will present a complete, multi-page website. For our yoga studio example, you’ll typically see:

• Homepage: Hero section with a compelling headline (“Find Your Peace at Sunrise Yoga Studio in Austin”), a brief description of your studio, class offerings, and a call-to-action button
• About Page: Studio story, instructor bios, and philosophy — all AI-generated and specific to yoga studios
• Services/Classes Page: Class descriptions, pricing, and schedule information
• Contact Page: Contact form, location map, phone number, and business hours
• Booking Section: Integrated calendar where visitors can book classes directly

All copy is written specifically for your business type and location. Images are selected to match your industry. The design uses a clean, professional layout with appropriate colors and typography.

Step 3: Customize the Design

While the AI-generated site is a great starting point, you’ll want to make it your own. Use Durable’s visual editor to:

• Change Colors and Fonts: Click the “Design” tab to modify your color palette and typography. Choose from preset themes or set custom brand colors
• Replace Images: Click any image to replace it with your own photos or select from Durable’s stock library. For a yoga studio, you might upload photos of your actual studio space and instructors
• Edit Copy: Click any text to edit it directly. The AI-generated copy is a solid starting point, but adding your personal voice and specific details makes it more authentic
• Add or Remove Sections: Customize the page layout by adding new sections (testimonials, FAQ, gallery) or removing ones you don’t need

Step 4: Set Up Your Booking System

For service businesses, the booking system is a key feature. Navigate to “Bookings” in the dashboard and configure:

• Services and Pricing: Define your classes, sessions, or services with duration and pricing
• Availability: Set your business hours and available time slots
• Calendar Sync: Connect your Google Calendar to prevent double-booking
• Notifications: Set up automatic email confirmations and reminders for clients

Once configured, visitors can book directly through your website, and you’ll receive notifications for every new booking.

Step 5: Configure Your Domain and Go Live

By default, your site lives on a Durable subdomain. To use a custom domain:

1. Navigate to “Settings” and then “Domain”
2. Either purchase a new domain through Durable or connect an existing one
3. Follow the DNS configuration instructions provided
4. Wait for DNS propagation (usually 1–24 hours)

Once your domain is connected, your website is live and accessible to the world. Durable handles SSL certificates, hosting, and ongoing maintenance automatically.

Step 6: Use the Built-In CRM to Manage Leads

As visitors interact with your site — submitting contact forms, booking appointments, or signing up for newsletters — Durable’s CRM captures their information automatically. Access the CRM from your dashboard to view all leads, add notes, track follow-ups, and manage your customer relationships. This eliminates the need for a separate CRM tool and keeps all your business data in one place.
