Step 1: Install Harpa AI Extension

Go to harpa.ai and click “Add to Chrome” to install the extension. Once installed, you’ll see the Harpa icon in your Chrome toolbar. Click it and complete the quick setup, including choosing your preferred AI model.

Step 2: Navigate to a Competitor’s Product Page

Open a competitor’s product page you want to monitor. Make sure the price is visible on the page. Click the Harpa icon to open the side panel.

Step 3: Use the Monitor Command

Type “/monitor” in the Harpa chat or find the “Monitor Page” command from the command library. Harpa will detect the page structure and highlight changeable elements. Click on the price element to select it for monitoring.

Step 4: Configure Your Monitor Settings

Set the monitoring frequency (hourly, daily, or weekly). Choose your notification method — email, Slack, or browser notification. Add conditions like “alert me only if price drops below $X” to reduce noise. Name your monitor for easy reference.

Step 5: Set Up Multiple Competitor Pages

Repeat steps 2-4 for each competitor product page you want to track. Harpa supports unlimited monitors on paid plans. Organize them by product category for easy management.

Step 6: Review and Act on Alerts

When a price change is detected, you’ll receive a notification with the old and new prices. Use Harpa’s built-in AI to analyze the change — ask it to compare across all monitored competitors, assess market impact, or suggest your pricing response.

Step 7: Export Data for Analysis

Periodically export your monitoring data as a CSV file. Use this historical price data to identify trends, seasonal patterns, and competitor pricing strategies. Feed this data into your pricing optimization tools.

Advanced Tips:

• Use the “Monitor part of page” option to track only the price section, avoiding false alerts from other page changes
• Combine price monitoring with the “Extract Data” command to build a comprehensive competitor database
• Set up a daily summary report that aggregates all price changes into a single digest
• Use custom conditions to trigger alerts only for significant changes (e.g., >5% price drop)
