Instead of staring at a blank page, use Jenni’s outline generator. Enter your research topic and key arguments. For example: “The Impact of AI-Assisted Writing Tools on Academic Integrity in Higher Education.” Jenni will generate a structured outline with sections like Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Findings, Discussion, and Conclusion — each with suggested sub-points.

Review and customize the outline. Move sections around, add or remove sub-points, and refine the argument flow. This outline becomes your roadmap, making the writing process significantly less overwhelming.

Step 3: Draft with AI Autocomplete

Start writing your introduction. As you type, Jenni offers contextually relevant completions. When you pause after a sentence, Jenni suggests the next logical continuation. You’re always in control — press Tab to accept a suggestion, or keep typing your own words. The key is that Jenni matches your writing style and academic tone, so accepted suggestions blend seamlessly.

For difficult sections, type a prompt like “Write a paragraph about the history of academic integrity policies” and Jenni will generate a draft paragraph that you can then edit, cite, and refine.

Step 4: Manage Citations as You Write

When you make a claim that needs a reference, use Jenni’s citation feature. Type your claim, then click “Cite” or use the keyboard shortcut. Jenni searches academic databases and presents relevant sources. Select the appropriate reference, and Jenni inserts a properly formatted in-text citation and adds the full reference to your bibliography automatically.

For sources you already have, you can paste the DOI or URL, and Jenni will fetch and format the complete citation. This eliminates the tedious manual formatting that consumes hours of research paper writing time.

Step 5: Paraphrase and Refine

Review your draft and identify sections that need improvement. Select any paragraph and use Jenni’s paraphrase tool to generate alternative versions. You can choose from different paraphrase modes: “Academic” for formal tone, “Simplify” for clarity, or “Expand” for adding detail. This is particularly useful for rewriting sections where you’re paraphrasing source material and want to ensure your language is original.

Step 6: Final Review and Export

Use Jenni’s “Chat with Your Paper” feature to review your complete document.
