Step 5: Generate and Evaluate

Click “Create” and wait approximately 10-20 seconds. Suno will generate two versions of your song. Listen to both carefully. Evaluate the vocal quality, how well the melody fits your lyrics, and whether the emotional tone matches your intent. If neither version satisfies you, adjust your style description or refine your lyrics and regenerate.

Step 6: Extend and Refine

If you like a generated version but want a longer track, use Suno’s “Extend” feature. This takes your generated segment and continues the song with additional verses or an extended outro. You can extend up to 2-4 minutes total. For final polish, adjust the style prompt slightly between extensions to create natural musical transitions.

Step 7: Export Your Finished Song

Once satisfied, click the download button to export your song. Free-tier users get MP3 format; paid subscribers can access higher-quality WAV exports. Save the file and integrate it into your project — whether that’s a YouTube video, podcast intro, or personal playlist.
