Nano Banana Pro Freemium

Google's image model for legible text and 4K edits

Nano Banana Pro is Google’s Gemini 3 Pro Image model, launched in November 2025. It is the follow-up to the first Nano Banana and focuses on two hard problems: rendering legible text inside an image, and holding a character or product consistent across many edits.

What is Nano Banana Pro?

It is both a generator and an editor. You can describe a fresh image, or upload an existing photo and ask for changes conversationally — swap a background, fix a logo, add signage in another language. Output resolution reaches 4K, up from roughly 1K in the original.

It runs inside the Gemini app, Google AI Studio and Google Ads, and is available to developers through the Gemini API under the gemini-3-pro-image ID.

What are Nano Banana Pro’s main features?

  • Accurate text rendering: headlines and labels come out spelled correctly more often.
  • 4K output: enough resolution for print-adjacent and large-format work.
  • Conversational editing: refine an image over several turns without losing the subject.
  • Multi-image blending: combine elements from up to several references.
  • SynthID: invisible watermark on generated files.

Product Highlights

  • Text rendering is the clear win — poster and packaging mockups finally look plausible.
  • It is slow. High-res generations can take 30 seconds or more.
  • Free users get daily caps in the Gemini app; API use bills per image.

What is Nano Banana Pro used for?

  1. Ad creative with a headline baked into the image.
  2. Product photography swaps — new background, same item.
  3. Localizing signage and packaging text into other languages.
  4. Consistent character art across a series of posts.
  5. Quick thumbnail mockups with readable titles.

Quick Summary

  • It outputs up to 4K and handles in-image text far better than the first Nano Banana.
  • Editing is conversational and preserves the original subject.
  • Free tier exists in the Gemini app with daily limits; API bills per image.
  • Slow generation makes it a poor fit for real-time or bulk pipelines.
