How to Combine Two Images in Nano Banana 2 Pro for Product Shots
Multi-image blending is Nano Banana 2 Pro's underused feature. This is how to place a product on a new background without cutting it out first.
Google's upgraded Nano Banana editor adds text rendering and 4K upscaling
Nano Banana 2 Pro is Google’s upgraded image generation and editing model inside Gemini. It fixes two long-standing weaknesses of AI images: legible in-image text and consistent characters across edits. Output goes up to 4K, and the free Gemini tier includes a limited number of daily generations.
“Nano Banana” was the nickname for Google’s Gemini image model that went viral in 2025 for photo editing and character consistency. The Pro revision adds sharper text rendering, higher resolution and stronger instruction-following when you edit an uploaded photo. It lives inside the Gemini app, Google AI Studio and the Gemini API rather than as a standalone product.
Text rendering is the headline fix. Marketing mockups and memes used to need a design pass just to fix broken lettering; now the model draws the words correctly most of the time. The character consistency also makes it usable for storyboards and comic panels.
Trade-offs exist. Free generations are capped daily, 4K output is slower, and long text blocks still occasionally misspell. Complex multi-person edits can drift the wrong face too, so expect retries.
Useful for designers doing fast mockups, creators making thumbnails with embedded text, and marketers iterating ad visuals. Less useful if you need precise brand-accurate vector output — that is still a job for real design software.
