How to Connect Supabase Authentication and Real-Time Databases to Your Lovable App
Most AI app builders generate static frontends that look good but can’t handle real user accounts, live data updates, or secure API calls. Lovable‘s native…
Describe an app in plain English and get a working full-stack product
Lovable 3 is a prompt-to-app builder that generates a working full-stack web app — React front end, Supabase database and auth — from a chat description. There’s a free tier; Pro starts at $25/month.
You type what you want — “a booking site for a barber shop with a calendar and Stripe checkout” — and Lovable scaffolds the UI, wires up a database, and gives you a live URL. It’s aimed at founders and designers who can judge a product but don’t want to hand-write a stack.
Version 3 tightens the loop between prompt and running code. Edits now apply incrementally instead of regenerating whole screens, and it can attach a real Supabase project so your data persists outside the sandbox.
For MVPs, this is the fastest path from idea to a shareable link I’ve used. The Supabase tie-in matters — plenty of competitors generate pretty front ends with nowhere to store data. Lovable gives you a real database, so signups actually persist.
It won’t replace an engineering team on anything complex. Generated code can get tangled once you push beyond a few dozen components, and debugging AI-written React is its own skill. Message limits on the lower plans are also easy to burn through.
