How to Make Posters and Product Mockups in Seedream 5.0
Packaging, posters, and app mockups are Seedream 5.0's specialty. Here is the layout-brief method that gets accurate text and clean composition.
ByteDance's image model that finally renders legible text inside pictures
Seedream 5.0 is ByteDance’s 2026 image generation model, available through the Dreamina app and via API. Its calling card is text: posters, mockups and packaging shots come out with spelled-correct words, which older diffusion models mangled into soup.
It is the fifth iteration of ByteDance’s Seedream family, built for commercial design rather than artistic experimentation. Resolution goes up to 4K, and the model supports reference images so you can keep a subject’s face or a product consistent across a batch. Access is through Dreamina, the Doubao assistant, and a paid API.
Text rendering is the reason to try it. Anyone who has spent twenty minutes re-rolling a Midjourney prompt to get a single correct word will notice the difference immediately.
Two caveats. Long strings and non-Latin scripts still break, and the default aesthetic leans polished-corporate — if you want grain, grit or a painterly look you will fight it. Data handling is also a consideration for some Western buyers, since generation runs on ByteDance infrastructure.
Ideal for marketers producing ad creative with copy baked in, e-commerce teams needing consistent product shots, and designers who want fast mockups. Less suitable for fine-art styles or for organizations with strict data-residency requirements.
