How to Transcribe and Diarize Audio with WhisperX
WhisperX is an open-source tool that adds word-level timestamps and speaker diarization to OpenAI Whisper. It is ideal for accurate, timestamped transcripts and meeting analysis.
The Browser Company's AI-first browser that chats with your open tabs
Dia Browser is a free AI-first browser built by The Browser Company that can read your open tabs and answer questions about them in a side chat. You download it for macOS or Windows, and it ships with its own model access instead of asking you for an API key.
Dia is The Browser Company’s follow-up to Arc. Where Arc experimented with a new tab model, Dia puts a chatbot at the center. The assistant sits in a sidebar and can pull text from whatever tabs you have open, so “compare these three articles” is a real command, not a marketing line. The company started rolling Dia out to general availability in 2025 and dropped the early waitlist for most users through 2026.
It runs on macOS and, since late 2025, Windows. There is no Linux build as of early 2026, and no mobile app beyond the shared-tab handoff feature.
The tab-reading is the part that actually feels different. Chrome extensions can see one page; Dia sees your whole session. That makes multi-source questions genuinely useful.
Setup is the other win. You install it and start chatting. No keys, no config files, no extension store hunting. For people who bounced off Arc’s learning curve, Dia is closer to a normal browser with a smart sidebar bolted on.
The catch: you are trusting a young browser with your whole session, and the free tier’s model access is whatever The Browser Company pays for. It is not a place to run your heaviest reasoning tasks.
Dia is free to download. The Browser Company has signaled premium tiers with heavier model usage for later, but as of early 2026 the core browser and chat are free. There is no published per-message cap that most users will hit.
